Environment
Via Nova is located in a spacious, sunny, colorful two-story building. The environment is pleasant, warm, playful, functional and well-organized for learning.
The facility recently went through extensive renovations, such as a new foundation and seismic retrofitting, and meets state codes for a commercial building. A radiant floor heating system was installed on both floors of the school, and a limited commercial elevator provides wheelchair access. |
Via Nova’s outdoor space is safe, spacious and well supervised, with plenty of activities available. There is room for riding tricycles, a play structure, and sensory and vegetable gardens planted by Via Nova parents.
Many families stroll, scoot, or bike to Via Nova, leaving their strollers and bikes at school during the day. Located across from the Ashby BART, families that commute via BART find drop-off/pick-up very convenient. |
